How to use Android phone as Speaker for PC and Laptop

It isn't a common thing to use your android phone as Speaker for Laptop or PC but there are many people who want to do this. Android device is used as speaker in case if speakers of your PC or Laptop are not working or if your Android phone has speakers better than your PCs. Many people use these Android devices as wireless speakers.

In my case my laptop speakers had stopped working due to some reasons so I am using my Android Phone as speakers .And this happened because I want to save my pocket money for something else.

After a lot of web search I found out that we cannot use android phone as speaker without WiFi and through Data Cable. You must have WiFi connection if you want to use your Android Phone as speakers.

There are many software's available on google play store that allow you to use your Android Phone as speakers using WiFi for example two of the popular and good Apps are sound-wire and WiFi-Audio. But WiFi-Audio is easy to use and simpler as compared to sound-wire.

How WiFi Audio works

  1. Download WiFi Audio from Google play store and install it on ypur android phone.
  2. A link of software for PC will be provided in this App. Go to that web address and download component of WiFi-Audio for PC.
  3. Now connect both PC and Android Phone to same WiFi Network.
  4. When you will Open WiFi-Audio on your Android Phone , you'll see an IP Address shown at bottom of screen.
  5. Run WiFi-Audio on PC and put IP Address shown in Android device in provided box. As shown below.
  7. Now click start to start sending Audio data to phone.
  8. All sounds of your PC or Laptop will be directed to your Android Phone
If you are searching for a software that allows you to use your Android Phone as speakers without WiFi than I don't think that there is any software yet that can perform this function.
